Welcome to BLP. In today’s episode, Pastor Carter and Pastor Jamie Wamsley explore how to partner with the Holy Spirit while ministering, to be a clearer conduit for God’s transformative work. Pastor Jamie currently serves as Associate Senior Pastor at The Chapel, a multi-site church in Chicagoland, where he has been on staff for 23 years.

• Jesus’ Model of Ministry. // When we examine scripture, we see Jesus didn't wave a magic wand and heal many. He talked, prayed, and laid hands on individual by individual. He did ministry by the thousands, but person by person. We're called to share in the same kind of ministry. John 20:21 (NIV) Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” If you take Jesus at face value, he tells us we will do the same things that he did. 

• Presence. // When you’re speaking to someone, quietly invite the presence of God. Begin a dialogue with God. As they are sharing, ‘God help me to see this the way you see it. Would you enter into this moment, would you open my eyes and ears, would you help me to hear what you hear, see what you see? God would you speak to me in this moment?
